What are the sub-genres of a thriller?

Common subgenres are pysocholical thrillers, crime thrillers , erotic thrillers and mystery thrillers. Another common subgenre of thriller is the spy genre, which deals with fictional espionage. Successful examples of thrillers are the films of Alfred Hitchcock. The horror and action genres often overlap with the thriller. Thrillers tend to be psychological, threatening, and mysterious and at times involve larger-scale villainy such as episonage, terrorism and conspiracy. 

Erotic Thrillers?

This is a sensational genre that is a thriller, which involves a strong sense of promiscuity.

Similarities in characters and themes? :


All three film posters have the same characters, in the idea that they present the sensual and promiscuous women who manipulates the masculine and vulnerable
man into creating a conflict, either involving themes such as corruption, murder greed, adultery and murder.


Similarities in “Mise En Scene”:

These three film poster are very similar in the idea that they all use the same color scheme of black and red, these colors immedialty represent promiscuity through the color black presenting mystery as well as the red presenting ideas of passion as well as murder through the ideas of the color red presenting imagery of blood. These three films posters, all present the two principle characters on their poster, which immediately presents the idea towards the audience that this particular film will mainly base around the erotic relationship of the man and woman.
